The Sanbonishinotoin-cho machiya has its own tea ceremony room on the first floor, and a private back garden. Radiant in-floor heating is installed throughout the house. The street frontage of the property is occupied by Koyama-en, one of Kyoto's finest tea shops, serving green tea and traditional sweets.
