Waking up with the sound of looms in Nishijin you will feel the long tradition of the town.

This machiya is attached with a textile studio, and you will hear and see the real Kyoto craftsmanship while you are staying with us.


On its first floor, there are wooden made floor and tatami mats living room.
This house features two spacious bathrooms: one with a shower and one with a large Japanese cedar bathtub.
The interesting feature of this house is that you can look through the studio from the window on second floor like a museum.
*The studio starts working around 8:30AM, please understand that the loom sounds could be heard inside.

Neighborhood Information

Nishijin is a textile industrial area, and there are many machiyas with textile studios.
You will see people are wearing Kimono and walking around to cafe and Galleries.
There are also represented tea rooms in walking distance, "Omotesenke Fushin-an" and "Urasenke Kon'nichi-an."heard inside.
